What is the downtime after liposuction?
This depends on the extent of the treatment. As a rule, you should expect a recovery period of 3 to 7 days.
You should avoid sporting activities and heavy physical exertion for about 4 to 6 weeks.

How permanent are the results of liposuction?
The liposuctioned fat cells do not regenerate. If the body weight remains stable after the treatment, the result is permanent. Remaining fat cells can expand in the event of major weight fluctuations.

Preparation: Once you have decided on the treatment, you will receive all the important information about the preparation - including behavioral instructions before the procedure, blood tests if necessary and anesthesia information.
The procedure: The treatment is performed on an outpatient basis or with a short hospital stay - depending on the extent of the procedure. Under local anesthesia with twilight sleep or under general anesthesia, the fatty tissue is gently removed through small skin incisions and precisely suctioned out.
Recovery: We will accompany you through the entire healing phase with clear instructions for aftercare and regular check-ups. Light exercise will soon be possible again, but you should refrain from sport for a few weeks.
Visible results after a few weeks: The final result is usually visible after three to six months - as soon as all swelling has completely subsided and the tissue structures have stabilized. The result is permanent as long as the body weight remains stable.
