Dr. Volker Rippmann in an interview "Aesthetic surgeon explains: benefits, risks and costs of a deep-plane facelift"

Deep-plane facelift: modern facial rejuvenation

The deep-plane facelift is a modern method of facial rejuvenation that tightens the tissue in the deeper layer and reverses age-related volume shifts. Compared to other face lift methods, it offers a significant facial rejuvenation effect and a long-lasting, natural result as the cause of the ageing face is treated. The method releases strong tissue and ligaments deep in the facial muscles to mobilize and fix sagging facial structures.

The main advantage of the deep-plane facelift is the result, which is natural and long-lasting. It is the only form of facelift that treats the cause of the ageing face, whereas previous methods have mainly tried to reduce the effects of the ageing face. The risks lie mainly in the surgical complexity and require trained and experienced hands to avoid possible complications such as nerve injury.

The treatment is primarily recommended for patients between the ages of 35 and 60 if minimally invasive procedures such as Botox and hyaluronic acid no longer work sufficiently or do not achieve the desired result. The risks of the deep-plane facelift lie mainly in the surgical complexity and require experienced hands to minimize potential risks such as nerve injuries.

"The deep-plane facelift ...

...is the most modern, but also the most surgically demanding method for remodeling the facial contour back to a youthful face."

In summary, the deep-plane facelift offers an effective option for facial rejuvenation, especially for patients for whom other minimally invasive procedures do not achieve the desired effect. The method is characterized by its long-lasting and natural results, but also carries risks that require an experienced hand to minimize.
